We are always on the lookout for new members who share our vision of quality music-making.
 
Adult Chorus
Adult chorus candidates will have to prepare two songs that will best show the quality of your singing, one of which should be an opera aria. Art songs and show tunes can also be used for the audition. As you will mostly be performing the classical repertoire, please do not use the following types of music for your audition:
 

• Popular music

• Jazz standards

• Church hymns and carols

 
You do not have to memorise your pieces, though it will be advantageous if you can, as most performances will require memorisation. Please bring extra copies of your pieces for the auditioning panel. Please note that SLO does not provide an accompanist for auditions, and you will need to make your own arrangements if you require one.

Youth and Children Chorus
Youth and children chorus candidates should prepare one song, preferably an opera aria. It should not be pop music, hymns, or carols. The audition can be carried out acapella or with a backing track, as no accompanist will be provided.
